I'd talk to you sometime. In spite of all of the kidding, you have done a fine job. Brian and you guys were doing the old paper when I was doing the updates on Pete and Randy's show on the old KBIS am 1010 in Little Rock. We got about 1 hour a week total out of 20. Took plenty of abuse for being fans when we were awfully bad. Real fans for sure when there were frankly not very many. Good luck with the new chapter.

In all honesty the only mid major leagues that have any chance of being good are the MWC and the AAC. Conf USA and the Sun Belt really should just merge. When the big 5 break away they may take the MWC and the AAC with them .Every other team and Conf is going to have to start their ow, football division, they might as well start now. Who knows Ark State could be one of the best of the left behind schools. Something to shoot for at least.

Neither Murray nor SIU is remotely near ready. Missouri State could get there fairly quickly but needs a big stadium upgrade and the willingness to leave the Valley.

Why don't you guys be proactive and try to promote Murray State, Southern Illinois, or Missouri State to join the Sun Belt along with the imminent newcomer JMU and maybe Liberty? That makes a lot more sense to me than joining a new conference with zero rivals and a very small chance of developing any of significance.

I assume you were replying to the article and not to me, because I agree with you. I think betting on programs over markets is the key to revenue sharing... but CUSA has been taking markets instead.

If you assume that CUSA with 3 schools with at least 3 .500 seasons in the past five is a cinch to the be in the top 3 of the CFP ratings you are right but that's a pretty dumb assumption.

How bloated of a league do you think the CUSA needs to become? They have a need for one more team, and you think they take three? Super conferences COULD make sense for the big 5, but for the group of 5, it just dilutes the revenue pool.

You can go back to when we hired Benson, I was one of those saying give the guy a chance, his history isn't all what it seems. But things aren't good again. Reports are swirling that WKU is out and there is no way we stay at 11/11. We HAVE to expand again now if WKU is out. If we had taken App and GaSo we would sitting at 9/11 right now with no pressure to expand for the sake of expanding.
